Teach children to swim, especially here in Florida. It will be their lifelong benefit!

Keep the deck free of any trip and fall hazards.
Keep glassware away from the pool area.
Have rescue equipment available. For a homeowner at their residential pool, have a good pole and brush, and use it to extend and assist your reach for someone that is struggling. Even a pool “noodle” float can be utilized as a rescue item! Also, keep a cell phone close by, seconds count in an emergency!
When there are storms in the area with the possibility of lightning…do not swim!
Always be aware the depth of a pool…never dive into the shallow end of a pool.
Never mix pool chemical products together.
