Orlando Pool Safety Tips

  • Install a safety fence around the pool area.  Highly recommended is The Roll-A-Way Protective Pool Fence.  It is a strong, attractive and affordable pool fence designed to help protect your loved ones.  Check out their website at,  www.rollawaypoolfence.com, for a more detailed and insightful overview of pool fence safety barriers.
  • Supervise children at all times in or near the pool area.
  • Teach children to swim, especially here in Florida.  It will be their lifelong benefit!
  • Learn CPR. The American Red Cross shares info re: CPR techniques and procedures for adults, children and even pets, check out their website at, www.redcross.org.
  • Keep the deck free of any trip and fall hazards.
  • Keep glassware away from the pool area.
  • Have rescue equipment available. For a homeowner at their residential pool, have a good pole and brush, and use it to extend and assist your reach for someone that is struggling. Even a pool “noodle” float can be utilized as a rescue item!  Also, keep a cell phone close by, seconds count in an emergency!
  • When there are storms in the area with the possibility of  lightning…do not swim!
  • Always be aware the depth of a pool…never dive into the shallow end of a pool.
  • Never mix pool chemical products together.
